Dine-in process 

Important Notice from Victorian Government: Obligation on businesses outside of metropolitan Melbourne to check identification as part of records requirement and refuse service to those who reside in metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire LGA.

We want you to have an enjoyable and safe dining experience.

This process is developed from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Hospitality Guidelines provided by the Victorian Government on 25 May 2020. the Hospital Industry Guidelines for Coronavirus (COVID-19) The purpose is to provide essential protection for the health of both our staff and our diners. We encourage you to download the COVIDSafe APP to assist contact tracing.

PLEASE NOTE: Victoria Police can give on the spot fines for non-compliance:

Up to $1,652 for individuals

Up to $9913 for businesses

Zebra Bar & Bistro Dine-In Process

1.     Initially we will only be taking phone bookings 52553961

2.     We have limited customer seating in each separate dining space at any one time

3.     We will endeavor to book you at your preferred time

4.     Bookings will be timed 15 minutes apart

5.     Dinner hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 5.30pm

6.     Lunch hours: Saturday and Sunday from 12pm

7.     Groups are limited to 6 diners

8.     We require the first name and contact number of each diner

9.     We ask that you arrive on time for your booking to enable us to adhere to the guidelines

10.  When you arrive at the building (85 The Terrace Ocean Grove) the front door will be open

11.  You will see signage regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

12.  A welcome sign will invite you to wait at the top of the stairs if you have a booking

13.  We ask that you wait at the top of the stairs to be seated

14.  You will see further signage regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

15.  Hand sanitizer will be available for your use

16.  Our staff will welcome you and direct you to your table

17.  Once seated diners are required to remain seated unless using restroom facilities

(There is a no smoking policy in place during service)

18.  Our staff will ask if you have familiarized yourselves with our processes on our website: if not, our staff will provide you with a laminated copy

19.  Our staff will check we have each diner’s name and contact number on our booking form. Under Privacy Rules these details will be kept for 28 days

20.  Diners are not permitted to socialize with other groups of diners

21.  Your table will be set with laminated menus

22.  Our staff will come to your table to take your order

23.  Diners are not permitted to order from the bar

24.  Each diner will be required to order a main meal as a minimum

25.  Diners are not permitted to order drinks only

26.  Bottles of water are available on your table

27.  Diners are invited to signal to staff that they require further drinks or have a question

28.  Our staff will bring meals to your table 

29.  Diners are allocated 2 hours in the venue

30.  Our staff will ask you how you would like to split your bill

31.  Our staff will bring your bill to the table either on completion of your meal or after 90 minutes from arrival

32.  Our venue will only accept EFTPOS payment, no Cash payments
